I’m currently playing with how to create night time scenes without painting full spreads. Trying to figure out where to start and stop the forms and lines is a little like a puzzle. Albeit a puzzle without one right answer.

Oh wow Hillary, I love the watercolor-y bleed of the paints and the red tinge on the edges of the leaves! Also the peek-a-boo section with the mice on the roof, so beautiful!
Thanks Sarah! I’m looking forward to our illo group meeting tonight and seeing what you’ve been working on.
I, too, love the “peek-a-boo” night roof top scene. Your suggestion leaves the viewer free to complete the space with imagination.
Hillary, your work is beautiful. I fell in love with this cat. Would you be willing to sell some of your illustrations as posters?
Thank you so much! I’d be happy to sell prints of certain images. I’ll contact you over email and we can chat. Thanks again!
