artist challenge recap

About a week ago I did the facebook artist challenge- posting three pieces of art a day for five days straight, and I gave myself an extra challenge to make them three NEW images each day, albeit small and simple. I have a history of struggling to draw every day. In fact, that was my new year’s resolution in 2014 and I only made it through a handful of months. But I found five days to be manageable and a good way to get some ideas that have been rattling around in my head down on paper. Here are the results:

my show is up!

Happy new year, everyone! I want to mention that I’m showing a sampling of my children’s illustration this month at Fuel Coffee in Montlake. There’s really good coffee there, and hand pies for anyone who likes pie… same owners as big five pie in capitol hill. Anyhow, I’ll have a little opening reception on Saturday 1/10 from 2:00-4:00 if you would like to stop by and say hello. Or swing by anytime in January; the show will be up all month. Much love and caffeine to all!
