color vs. COLOR

I had a painting scanned at Kinkos yesterday and the result is so oversaturated! It’s kind of beautiful that way, although not my usual palette at all.

Here it is side by side- a normal scan vs. Kinkos:

Anyone out there know better places to have scans made?

  1. can you take a photo, then adjust levels and print as a photo print?

    • It’s a thought but think I’d have to figure out a lot of lighting details in order to get a good enough photo… I’m not much of a photographer!

I would also take a photo. I would use one or two floods bounced off a board or the ceiling. It would be low light, but if you have a manual camera you can take a long exposure. You will need a telephoto lense to combat lense distortion. Most likely 100mm.
